1) Support Talented Youth: Waukesha County kids show off the meat animals they’ve raised at the County Fair, along with other outstanding 4-H and FFA projects including Photography, Woodworking, Computers, Flowers and Plants, Quilting, Mechanical Sciences, and more. See what these talented youths have accomplished, and support them as they advance!

2) Meet the Farm: Get a taste of agricultural life as you meet farmers and the animals they raise: a unique experience for families living in an urban environment. See horses, goats, sheep, cows, rabbits, and chickens at the livestock auction, and pet farm animals at the petting zoo.

3) Have A Very Delicious Day: You’ll have no trouble finding your way to the Cream Puff Stand, which sold over 3,500 cream puffs last year and is marked with a giant dot on the Fairgrounds map. You’ll find many other traditional fair foods, like corn dogs, nachos, and elephant ears, along with novelties like alligator meat, cheesecake on a stick, empanadas, fried candy bars, and more. It’s not every day you’ll taste such a variety of foods!

4) Rock On: See classic rock headliners and country music acts at the Main Stage, Leinie Lodge, and Coors Light Stage. Past performances have included Kansas, Foreigner, Cheap Trick, REO Speedwagon, Poison, Pat Benatar, and more.

5) Get Up Close to Exotic Animals: Have you ever seen sharks, sting rays, monkeys, or tigers outside of the zoo? Now’s your chance!

6) Prepare to Be Wow’d: Watch the thrilling Demolition Derby, free with admission to the fair. The show includes up to four heats and lasts for approximately two hours.

7) Admire Trucks, Tractors, and Classic Cars: Watch the unique and exciting truck and tractor pulls. Vehicles compete in three divisions including Super Stock, Open Stock & Super Street Diesel. The whole family will love this show!

8) Share in County Traditions: The Waukesha County Fair is the oldest county fair in the state of Wisconsin, debuting in 1842. Witness the crowning of the Fairest of the Fair (an outstanding citizen engaged with the community), eat a Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, try a variety of festive foods, and get a taste of agricultural life to keep these long traditions going strong!

9) Love the Earth: Be a part of the fair’s Green Initiative by recycling and learning from the event’s conservation practices. The Waukesha County Fair is certified by Travel Green Wisconsin due to its success in reducing electricity, using eco-friendly lighting and air-conditioning, maintaining a water-conserving rain garden, and recycling.

10) Support Your Community: Participate in the Run ‘Till the Cows Come Home Fun Run/Walk to benefit the Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation, which contributes to paralysis research and helps support Bryon Riesch and his family.
